Units and decimal settings
Here you will find:
- Linear unit (section 8.5.1).
- Height offset step size (section 8.5.2).
- DXF unit (section 8.5.3).
- Slope unit (section 8.5.4).
- Decimal separator (section 8.5.5).
8.5.1 Linear unit» Main menu » Settings » Units and decimals » Linear unit
Here you can define the type of linear unit you are working with at your location. You can also adjust the number of
decimals for the chosen unit.
You can choose between the following units:
- Metres.
- International feet.
- US survey feet.
- Inches.
8.5.2 Height offset step size
» Main menu » Settings » Units and decimals » Height offset step size
Here you can set the step size of your height offset.
In the run screen, you can adjust height offset in increments, by using the + and – keys.
The default offset increment (Step size) is one centimetre.
NOTES:
- MC1 only displays two decimals in cut/fill values, in the run screen.
» Main menu » Settings » Units and decimals » DXF unit
Here you can define the type of unit your .DXF file is imported in at your location.
The unit you choose here covers all imported .DXF files. It is not possible to adjust the .DXF unit for each individual
.DXF file. Make sure MC1 imports .DXF files in the same unit as your model have been created in.
You can choose between:
- Millimetres.
- Metres.
- International feet.
- US survey feet.
- Inches.
8.5.4 Slope unit
» Main menu » Settings » Units and decimals » Slope unit
Here you can define the type of unit slopes in your model are displayed.
You can choose between:
- Degrees (360).
- Percent (%).
- Permille (‰).
- Gon (400).
- Relative (1:x).
8.5.5 Decimal separator
» Main menu » Settings » Units and decimals » Decimal separator
Here you can define which type of decimal separator you use at your location.
The decimal separator is used in the run screen and in logged as-built points.
