Check for blade wear regularly. The cutting edge of your machine is designed to be replaceable, and the rate in which it wears depends upon the material it is working with. Incorrect measurement of blade wear can result in incorrect guidance. If the blade wear is uneven, measure a few spots along the cutting edge to find an average, or find the most representative place for a single measurement, avoiding the outer 0.5m of the blade.
