Project specific data flow: As-built
As-built
Project specific as-built data consists of point logs (Single point logging), point codes and surface logs (Multi point logging).
Point codes are integral parts of point logs:
• Point code = code + log name.
• Point log = ID + code + log name + position + date/time + auxiliary information.
All as-built data can be shared between machines using ConX.
Use cases at the end of this document provide an overview of how point logs and point codes are synchronized between USB and MC1, and between ConX and MC1.
Point logs
Points logged from the runscreen in a USB project are stored in a CSV file named after the active model:
• [Active model name].[Model file extension].csv
Example: HighwayE20.xml.csv
When synchronized with a USB stick, the panel serial number is added to the CSV file name:
• [Active model name].[Model file extension].[Panel serial number].csv
Example: HighwayE20.xml.1234567.csv
After USB synchronization the CSV file is located in the AsBuilt-folder on the USB stick:
• USB: \ Projects \ [Project name] \ AsBuilt \ [Active model name].[Model file extension].[Panel serialnumber].csv
Example: USB: \ Projects \ Leica Highways \ AsBuilt \ HighwayE20.xml.1234567.csv
In the runscreen logged points are displayed as colored squares:
• My machine: (Purple
)
• Other machines: (Grey
)
Points logged from the runscreen in a ConX project are stored as raw data available for streaming between MC1 and ConX, as part of a ConX synchronization.
Point logs (As .csv files or raw ConX data) can contain a large amount of information.
Below is a list of available information that will be associated with each logged point:

Point codes (Project)
Point codes identify points of interest. In combination with a log name, point codes provide a simple identification, and definition, of the primary characteristic related to a specific location in a model. Whenever a point is logged from the MC1 runscreen, a preselected point code is associated with that specific point.
The point codes available for use in MC1 are listed in a text file named "PointCodes.txt". There are two kinds of code lists, both of which are named "PointCodes.txt".
One of the code lists is a "project" specific code list, and the other is a "machine" specific code list.
During data preparation, relevant point codes, originatinating from various machines, projects, authorities, contractors etc. are compiled into a project code list. This list is made available for MC1, on the panel, through either ConX or a USB stick. Typically the project code list is compiled by the site manager.
In ConX and on a USB stick the project code list is stored in the project root folder, together with models and coordinate systems.
The machine operator cannot add, delete or in any way modify codes on the project code list.
There is only one project code list per project.
Surface logs
Surface logs are basically grids of data, based on the currently active surface.
Depending on the type of machine, surface logs are used to document different surface characteristics:
• Snowgroomer: Snow depths.
• Compactor: Compaction degree and pass counts.
Surface logs can be shared between machines, and reports can be extracted, through ConX.
